Enyimba Sign Emmanuel James From Plateau United

The reigning Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions have completed the signing of Emmanuel James from Plateau United.

James joined to the People’s Elephants after three years with Plateau United, where he was instrumental in NPFL title triumph three seasons ago.

 

However, Enyimba who are preparing for CAF champions league and two other domestic competition next season believed the defender would be a valuable addition to them as they reinforce for the new season.

 

“The right-back comes with a good deal of domestic and continental experience having won the NPFL with Plateau United and played in the CAF Champions League.” Enyimba wrote on their official twitter handle.

 

Enyimba will begin their quest in the 2019/20 Caf Champions League with an away game against Rahimo FC from Burkina Faso in the first round, before the People’s Elephant return home for the reverse fixture two weeks later.

 

The Usman Abdallah’s side has already signed Victor Mbaoma from Remo Stars, Austin Opara from MFM and Samson Obi from Abia Warriors in the transfer window.

 

A top official with of the Club revealed that they aren’t done in the transfer market, as they are looking to bring in more experienced players and Lobi Stars Goalkeeper, Olufemi Thomas was reported to be on his way to the club.

 

“We are not just signing for the sake of signing, we are carefully looking at players that can add quality to our team, we hope to add a few more players before the start the season,” the club official said.
