Why did former Eagles and Bolton star Okocha cover up his face while at the Emirates Stadium

Jay Jay Okocha made appearance at the Emirates on Sunday and was a big attraction for fans outside the stadium.

Okocha was in the company of Chuba Iwobi, his nephew’s – Alex Iwobi – father, as they made their way to see Arsenal’s pre-season friendly against Olympique Lyon.

The former Eagles and Bolton Wanderers captain was obviously a recognizable figure and frequently stopped for pictures by fans.

At some point the 45 year-old appeared embarrassed by the amount of attention he had attracted, he pulled his sweat shirt over his face to hide his identity.

Per, Osasu Obayiuwana, I just can’t walk with @IAmOkocha in peace, after the @arsenal v @OL friendly at the @emirates
Stadium? Look at this…😂🤣

To the game proper, Arsenal lost at the Emirates 2-1 against Lyon in the pre-season competition.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang opened scoring in the first half, after 35 minutes, but the Ligue Un side responded through Moussa Dembele.

The former Celtics player scored again to grab a brace and helped his side to their first ever win against Arsenal.
