Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has stated that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will be ready for either Ivory coast or Algeria in the semifinals after dumping out rivals South Africa on Wednesday.
Ekong told brila.net in a Telephone interview that the Rohr-led side will be ready to take on either Ivory Coast or Algeria in the semifinals as they were expecting to face Egypt in the quarterfinal before the hosts were sent out by Bafana Bafana.
”I think they are all very good teams to say, I don’t know which to prefer to play with at the semifinals.
“Before now, everyone was talking about Egypt then, South Africans sent them out, now we have beaten the South Africans. ”Ekong stressed.
”We will be ready for either Algeria or Ivory coast, I think we played Algeria in the last two years during the World Cup qualifiers, we know what they are about, and they are the most inform team in this tournament, ”. he said.
Ekong further added, ” anyway, we will need to be ready to play anyone, if you really want to be the best, you will have to beat everyone, ” Ekong concluded.
