Coach of NPFL runners-up Kano Pillars Ibrahim Musa has stated that he hasn’t forgotten how close his side came to winning the Federation cup last season and that his motivation this time is to ensure they get to the final again and give a real shot at winning the only competition that the team is yet to win.
Musa speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the team cannot afford to miss winning the Federation cup final this year having come so far again and are focussed on ensuring they win their semi-final tie this Thursday against Calabar Rovers.
He added that being the first indigene to win the team a national title is also another motivation for him.
“We’re here to seal a place in the final because last year we lost it and can’t afford to miss it this time around when we reach the final and we only need the final trophy, not the continent because this is the only cup Kano Pillars are yet to win and winning this will mean been the first indigene to win a national title for the club.”
