Dennerby insists Falcons have shown signs of improvement, wants more time

Coach of Nigeria’s women national team Thomas Dennerby has stated that there are obvious signs of improvement by the Nigeria women national team despite been knocked out by their German counterpart 3-0 over the course of the weekend in the round of 16 at the ongoing FIFA women’s world cup in France.
Dennerby speaking while taking an assessment of Nigeria’s Super Falcons said in a chat gathered by brila.net that the team can only become better by continuous training and hopes he is able to continue with the team as well stating that his imprint on the team will eventually be clearly seen.
“I am proud of seeing the improvement of the team, that we are doing better and better, proud that we went to the knockout stage and I am not happy for going out at the round of 16 but I am happy we are the first team since 1999 that have been to the knockout stage.
“We still have a lot to do and we have to keep on working on a day to day basis. The only way you can develop a team and that is absolutely crucial that we have more time together.”
