Super Falcons assistant coach Maureen Madu has urged players of the Super Falcons who couldn’t make the cut to the world cup final squad to continue to work hard and not get demoralized for been dropped 4 days after the final list of 23 players was unveiled.
Madu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net from the team’s Austria camp said the players shouldn’t see been dropped as the end of it stressing that there will still be many competitions to fight for shirts and should rather also show support to the ones chosen as a member of the senior women national team.
“They have to continue to work hard, it’s not that they are not good but they say many are called but few are chosen. They shouldn’t be demoralized, they should continue to work hard.
We have a lot of competition where they can still try their luck. The ones that are been dropped should also pray for the ones chosen because when you pray for anybody’s progress, the progress will reach you too.”
The Super Falcons finally are all having their routine medical this week before the team’s departure for the FIFA women’s world cup in France.
