Flying Eagles’ goalkeeper, Detan Ogundare has declared that the squad is fully ready to take on the rest of the world at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.
Speaking to brila.net from the team’s camp base in Germany, Ogundare noted that the players have been able to adjust to the rather cold weather and are just looking forward to playing good football.
“Germany has been good and we are gradually adapting to the weather. In the test game, it wasn’t easy weather wise but it was better in the second half.
“We the players are 100% ready to go all the way, all we are waiting for now is the final list for the tournament.”
The Flying Eagles will fly out of Germany to Poland on 19th May, five days before their opening match of this year’s competition against Qatar’s U20 team in Tychy.
