Lawal okays Zimbabwe, Senegal Eagles AFCON friendlies

Garba Lawal has stated that the Super Eagles have good games to set them up for the challenges of playing at the Africa cup of nations after the NFF confirmed that the Super Eagles will take on Zimbabwe and Senegal.

Lawal speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said the teams chosen are good and will be key to adequately test the Eagles before the competition.
He also added that he hopes the key players will all be available promptly so that the team can in earnest get switched to competition mode.
“I think they are strong, Senegal and Zimbabwe are strong when it comes to football in Africa. I believe this is the kind of friendly matches that Super Eagles need before the nations cup.
“It’s very key it’s very important and I hope all the key players will be available because we will be thinking if the tournament immediately.”
The Super Eagles will play the Warriors of Zimbabwe first in Asaba where the team’s AFCON camp will open before facing Senegal in Egypt about a week to the competition proper.
