Rangers International gaffer Gbenga Ogunbote has disclosed that his players struggling from fatigue and injuries with few matches to the end of the season.
The Flying Antelopes competed in three different competitions this season, including the CAF Confederations Cup, the Nigeria Professional Football League and will be defending their Aiteo Cup crown after thrashing non-league side Star Plus 4-1 in Enugu State FA Cup final.
Ahead of the NPFL Group A leaders trip to second-placed Enyimba of Aba next weekend, The former Sunshine Stars handler revealed his wards are struggling to stay fit.
”We were affected by fatigue as we have played a lot of matches this week and my 16 players are down at the moment”.
”I was forced to introduce some of my players who are nursing injuries.”
“We want to win the trophy as we are hungry for it,” Ogunbote stated.
Rangers are the defending champions of the FA Cup and they are also leading Group A of the Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL ).
