Rohr knows his AFCON squad already, says Eguavoen

Former Super Eagles defender and coach, Austin Eguavoen has stated that he remains 75 percent sure Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr already has the names of the players he will be taking to Egypt for the 2019 AFCON finals.

The three-time African champions will make a return to the tournament after missing out on the previous two editions in 2015 and 2017.

Speaking to www.brila.net. Eguavoen also added that all the gaffer would be looking to do would be to push them to find out their limits.

“Rohr has his 23 in his mind already, that I know…I am 75 percent sure of that, except someone is injured which we do not pray for as we need our best legs ready and injury free for AFCON 2019”.

“He’s going to ensure he pushes it to them, put them under pressure so they can step up their game and give their best, but he has his players already”.

Nigeria kick-off their campaign against Burundi on June 22 before they slug it out with Guinea four days later and wrap up their Group B games against Madagascar on June 30.

Cameroon are the reigning champions after winning the title in Gabon two years ago.
