D’Tigers Guard Nwamu confident Nigerian can win the 2019 FIBA World Cup

Nigeria and Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA G league Shooting Guard Ike Nwamu have stated that D’Tigers will have no problem competing and taking on the rest of the world at the fast approaching FIBA world cup in China and believes Nigeria can even go as far as surprisingly winning the 2019 FIBA world cup.

Nwamu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said Nigeria wouldn’t have the mind of merely participating but will be out to compete and possibly conquer the world.
He said Nigeria is blessed with talented professional players who wouldn’t be intimidated facing the big players at the world cup because they are equally used to competing with these kinds of players.
“Obviously our goal is to go out and win the world cup and not just to play. We’re not worried this is not an African competition because for the most part of our lives we are used to playing against the so-called top professionals from the different part of the world.”
Nwamu also added that he is in good shape and one of those anxiously waiting to make an impact with Nigeria at the world cup in China.
