Mesut Ozil spent time with a blind Arsenal fan who also plays the game before the Europa League first-leg win against Napoli on Thursday night.

The youngster lost his eyesight to disease and Ozil took time to have a chat and allow the youngster to feel his face and hair.

He posted a video of the encounter on his Twitter page and wrote a message to Mikey.

He said: ‘Happy to have had the chance to meet my special fan, Mikey. He lost his eyesight due to a rare eye disease but this certainly does not stop him from playing football. I know you’ll continue to follow your dreams, young man.’

Ozil affords fans plenty of his time and no doubt Mikey appreciated the chance to meet one of his heroes.
