The minister of youth and sports development Solomon Dalung has expressed worries on the matter funding in sports urging the National Assembly to give more to Sports in subsequent Budgetary allocations.
Dalung in an interview with brila.net said this issue has been with the ministry of sports before he came in, according to him, there is a need for change in the way funds were being allocated to the Ministry.
The minister also reiterated that the allocation from the Government to the ministry of sports is nothing to write home about as to the development of our mainstream economy.
Dalung also maintained that it is the president that always bail the sports ministry whenever issues of urgent funding for competitions arises, saying it is about time sports is given its proper place in budgeting.
