U-17 AFCON – TFF Chief says Tanzania bank on Eaglets for qualification

Tanzania Football Federation’s media director Clifford Ndimbo has stated that the nation still has faint hopes of a possible shot at qualification through Nigeria from the group despite the obvious disappointment of losing back to back games against Nigeria and Uganda.

Ndimbo speaking in a telephone chat with www.brila.net from Dar es Salaam said Tanzanians will hope to see Nigeria beat Uganda in the final group stage game while Serengeti boys try to take care of business on their own against Angola so that Nigeria will have clear 9points and the other three teams sort things out on head to head rule.
“Of course we want Nigeria to win the last match because Nigeria has 6points and so what we can say to Nigeria is good luck ahead of their final group stage game and our aim is to beat our opponent Angola on Saturday.”
The host nation now rests their qualification hopes on Nigeria’s final group stage game and hoping they also beat Angola.
