Nigeria U17 and Chelsea football Academy midfielder Adrian Akande has stated that the Nigeria U17 national team have at the back of their mind the main objective of qualifying for the FIFA U17 world cup when they clash this afternoon against their Angolan counterpart.
Akande it was scooped by www.brila.net ahead of the team’s second game at the Africa tourney said the Eaglet obviously want to quickly sort the team’s prime target of world cup qualification as early as possible and stressed that beating Angola is key in this regard.
“Obviously the first objective is to qualify for the world cup, therefore next game against Angola is an important game because if we win that we qualify for the semi final and by extension qualify for the world cup. That’s the main objective.”
Nigeria continues her campaign at the ongoing CAF Africa U17 championship with a top of the table clash with Angola this afternoon.
