Barcelona Legend Charles Puyol insists the club is underperforming in the UEFA Champions League, in spite of the marquee squad, especially with the presence of Lionel Messi.

At the UEFA Champions League Tour event in Uyo on Tuesday, Puyol insisted, Barcelona should have won more UCL titles this decade than any other team, if they had maximized the use of Messi and co.

‘ I insist the club hasn’t done enough to maximize the privilege of having a player like Messi in the team. We simply should have won more UCL titles than any other team in the competition.

‘However, I also know, on a personal level that the Champions League is a difficult competition.’
