Kenneth Omeruo is relishing another night out against Real Madrid, when the sides clash this time in a Liga fixture on Monday at the Estadio Municipal de Butarque.
Since joining Lega on loan from Chelsea in the Summer, Omeruo has faced the Madrid giants once, in a Copa del Rey second-leg home match.
Leganes won that battle, 1-0, however they lost the war 4-1 on aggregate, it was Omeruo’s first and only encounter against Real Madrid, at a time when they seemed very inconsistent.
However, the appointment of Zinedine Zidane and the stability he has brought to the side doesn’t appear to bother the Central defender.
Omeruo returns to the matchday squad for Leganes after missing four straight games; two suspension and injury, and he hopes to shut out the redeeming Los Blancos.
Twenty points behind their more illustrious neighbors, Leganes will be going for glory after all and Omeruo has reminded Los Blancos faithfuls what to expect.
The Nigeria international shared a video edit on instagram, of his performance in January, where he played 90 minutes and helped Los Pepineros pick a second win over Real in just over a year.
