Ex-international and vice chairman of the Delta State FA, Edema Fuludu has called on Eagles handler, Gernot Rohr to encourage players from the NPFL by including them in his plans ahead of the AFCON tournament.
The 32nd Africa Cup of Nations will hold 21st June – 19th July 2019, in six venues: Cairo International Stadium; Borg El-Arab Stadium, Alexandria; Suez Stadium; Air Defence Stadium; Ismailia Stadium and; Al Salam Stadium.
Speaking with www brila.net, Fuludu also added that players who play regularly for their clubs in the league should be considered by scouts of the Eagles, while also adding experience to the majority of the players who also play their trade abroad.
“As usual, the coach will do his best we have scouts all over the place and the bulk of the team is in Europe but we must also get our home based players, at least some of them to be part of the team”
Such a move will make our league to grow and encourage the players to do well for themselves”.
“Get players who are playing regularly and add players who have the experience, it’s not quite difficult”.
