Gbenga Ogunbote has said Rangers Int’l FC are still focused on finishing in the top three of their group; picking a playoff spot, and aren’t getting carried away by their recent, impressive run of form.
The Flying Antelopes picked their first road win this league season in a 2-1 victory over Kwara United on Wednesday, taking them top of the group with three games in hand – extending their unbeaten streak to 10 games.
In a chat with brila.net Ogunbote assured the team is focused and they’ll try to “manage the success”.
“It is not over, we have 11 games to the end of the first phase of the league that will make us qualify for the super six; 11 games is a huge number, you’re not there until you’re there.
“So, we’ll do our best to make sure we manage the success. All we are trying to do in this first phase is to finish the league in the top three.”
