MRI was not arranged to kick ‘certain’ players out – Ugbade replies critics

Golden Eaglets assistant Coach Nduka Ugbade has replied the section of the fans for assuming that the failure of five key players in his squad in last week’s Magnetic Resonance Imagery (MRI) test was arranged.

In a telephone chat with brila.net, Ugbade said it is totally false and impossible to arrange a process to push out the best legs out of the camp of the Golden Eaglets.

If you remember, Brila.net had reported on Friday about the MRI failure of five key players and the disarray this has brought into the Golden Eaglets camp.

However,  the former International said there is no iota of truth in the reports that the process was an arranged one.

“None of the technical crew even understand all the English that the consultants were speaking,” Ugbade told brila.net

“All we want was for them to ascertain for us the players that are eligible”

“And they did their job”, we were not happy to have lost key players who helped us achieve qualification into this tournament.

Ugbade also reaffirmed the objective of the team which is to win the tourney and qualify for the World Cup in Brazil.

The 13th edition of the tournament will hold in Tanzania with Nigeria drawn in Group A alongside host nation Tanzania as well as Angola and Uganda.
