Ghana’s Taofeek Omar of Rivers United has revealed that his target is to help the Port Harcourt based side get a continental spot.
Taofeek, who played for Enyimba International at some point, told brila.net that he made the switch to Rivers United with the ambition of winning laurels and he is on course.
“For me, I had to move to Rivers United because I felt it would give me more happiness. I cannot really tell you the difference between both sides, I’m just glad to enjoy both. My aim with my new side is to help them achieve their target”.
Taofeek also took time to compare the Nigerian and Ghanaian leagues stating that the NPFL is a more physical league but he already made a name in Ghana and came with a big name from the Ghana Premier League.
“As for the difference between Ghana and Nigeria league, it is just down to the pattern. NPFL is more physical and I had to move even with the big name I made in the Ghanaian league.
“I did it because I wanted to push myself to the limit. I’m glad I’m here and doing well too.”
