Head coach of the Pirates of Seychelles, Gavin Jeanne has revealed that his side learned so much from their AFCON qualifying campaign while promising that they would bounce back better.
Seychelles ended up with just a point as well as two goals to show for their effort during the qualifiers in a group that had Libya, South Africa, and Nigeria.
Speaking after his sides 3-1 loss in their last qualifying match against Nigeria in Asaba, Jeanne, in a chat withwww.brila.net stated that it was a tough group, but the experience is massive for them.
“For us, we want to measure ourselves against the very best in Africa, it was a good group with South Africa, Libya, and Nigeria”.
” We tried different tactics, especially in the game against Libya but it did not work”.
“For me, the experience is massive, being in Nigeria is massive for me and my players, I just hope we have shown the rest of the continent that Seychelles has good football players”.
