Team manager of Nigeria’s sole CAF Confederation cup campaigner Enugu Rangers Barrister Amobi Ezeaku has maintained that the Flying Antelopes still retain high hopes of a possible shot at winning the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation cup after the NPFL side lost her first game in the competition 2-1 against Tunisia and Africa giant Etoile du Sahel to end the team’s record breaking unbeaten run of 8 matches.
Amobi speaking aftermath of Rangers’ defeat told www.brila.net that it was painful to have lost the unbeaten run but remain confident in the ability of Rangers to carry on unfazed after a gallant effort even in defeat.
He added that Rangers now have their focus shifted to the return leg in Enugu where they would play to bounce back and beat Etoile du Sahel.
Rangers sit second in the group after match day three and can with a win in the reverse fixture in Enugu against Etoile go top should Sfaxien fail to win in Burkina Faso against Salitas next weekend.
