FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s dependable striker, Chijioke Alakwe has shrugged off the 1-0 defeat suffered by his side in the NPFL against Akwa United in Uyo.
Chijioke in a chat with brila.net noted that he would strive harder to lift the team by getting goals but was quick to add that the job of uplifting the team is to be executed by every member of the squad.
“I always do my best to keep my head up, stay focused and score in every game. Lifting the team up isn’t all about me because each department is working hard to achieve a collective aim.
The national U-23 invitee equally spoke about the training pattern under U-23 team handler, Imama Amapakabo saying that it was a different experience from what he had always been used to.
“I must say in the camp of the U23, the training is the kind I have not ever experienced.”
