William Troost-Ekong has suffered his first defeat with KAA Gent in the league following Sunday’s 4-3 loss against KV Oostende.
Troost- Ekong, 23, has featured six times for the Belgian club in 2017 since recalled from his loan spell at Haugesund in Norway.
The Nigeria International came off the bench in the 84th minute as Gent trailed their hosts 3-4.

Meanwhile, the Centre half has a 100 percent unbeaten record when he starts for KAA Gent.
Troost-Ekong has seen four wins and one draw in his five starts for Gent this season.
The defeat on Sunday thus leaves Gent, who were without Anderson Esiti and Moses Simon, four points outside the UEFA Champions League playoff zone.
Troost- Ekong aside, two other Nigerians were involved in Sunday’s game for both teams.
Joseph Akpala was introduced from the bench on 90+2 minutes for Oostende, while Samuel Kalu started for Gent.
He was booked on the 41st minute and was substituted a minute into the second half.
