Teenage Tennis rising star Barakat Quadri is in line to become the face of the sport in Nigeria and is destined to excel globally according to Nigeria Women’s tennis star Mary Lenu Michael.

Barakat made a clean sweep of the medals in women’s tennis events at last year’s Unity Games, including the doubles where she partnered Michael.

Speaking on the prospect of the youngster, Mary Michael told brila.net Quadri “is a great player. And she will go places.”As a young player, I think she is destined for the top.

She is virtually like the best in Nigeria. So I believe she will go far in the world of tennis, Africa and beyond.”
