Returning to the touchline after several weeks where he was held hostage by kidnappers, Katsina United Coach Abdullahi Biffo says his presence may have motivated his players in the 3-1 win over Niger Tornadoes.
Biffo was kidnapped on January 7, before the commencement of the NPFL, his safe return and subsequent reinstatement by the Club buoyed the team to their biggest win this season.
The Coach told brila.net that they had also been “training hard for days” leading to the game and wanted to get a big win.
Katsina United have a fixture pile up, and because they have three rescheduled games standing, they will play three matches in 7 days.
Speaking after Sunday’s home win, Biffo insists he will be compelled to rotate his squad to keep the players fresh.
