Nasarawa United ready to challenge for NPFL title – Oyedeji

Nasarawa United midfielder Samuel Oyedeji has disclosed that the club is ready to challenge for their first Nigeria professional football league title this season.

Nasarawa United will host Henry Makinwa’s Abia Warriors in the matchday one of the 2018/2019 seasons at the Lafia township stadium where they hope to get off the campaign with a win.

 

Oyedeji who’s known as Dada by his admirers in the Nigeria league told brila.net’s Seyi Alao that his side are fit and ready for their first league opener against the Warriors.

 

“We are training and working hard for the new season and hopefully I believe something good will surely come out because we are aiming for the league title and I want to get an invitation into the National team as well”.

 

Following the departure of Coach Kabir Dogo from the Club to Sunshine Stars of Akure, The Lafia based team are yet to announce a new coach, but Abubakar Arikya has been instructed to handle the team till a new manager is announced, Oyedeji, however, revealed what it takes to work under the gaffer.

 

“The atmosphere has been very good,  Once a player is discipline and have the right attitude to his job, I didn’t think there will a problem with a coach and I don’t have a problem with him”. He told brila.net
