With Real Madrid still in hot pursuit of the Belgian Skipper Eden Hazard, Christian Pulisic has been talked up as a potential replacement at Stamford Bridge.
Whether Eden Hazard chooses to make one last ambitious move before the end of his career or not, Christian Pulisic is a name that makes sense.
Maurizio Sarri’s arrival at Chelsea has ushered in a new era, introducing a style and philosophy that has asked a great deal both technically and tactically from the squad that the Italian inherited from Antonio Conte.

Should the Belgian need replacing during the summer of 2019, with links to Real Madrid rife, Pulisic would be an interesting name to bridge the gap.
Not only that, but should Hazard stay put at Stamford Bridge, the young USA international would be a perfect player to come along and help take some of the burdens off the 27-year-old’s shoulders.
Judging by his style, skill set, maturity and versatility, however, Pulisic would be a very interesting purchase for a Chelsea side which will gradually be shaped more closely to their coach’s criteria the longer his reign continues.

Rather than replace one of the world’s best with a developing talent, Pulisic would be better served helping to lessen the burden on senior players. That said, there is no doubt that he has the quality to make an immediate impact.
