Nigeria’s qualification for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations was more than an accomplishment for the Eagles, it is also a promise kept to the Nation, defender Kenneth Omeruo has said.
The Eagles picked the first ticket in Group E following the 1-1 draw against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, and Omeruo says it feels good.
“After losing out on two editions it feels quite good to qualify for the AFCON with a game to spare. It isn’t just a victory for the team but also for the entire nation.”
Omeruo played 90 minutes in the encounter.
