NFF VP Akinwunmi assures Better Days Ahead for Women’s Football

Women football in Nigeria will receive a major financial boost in the coming years which will inevitably help its promotion and growth in the country NFF Vice President Seyi Akinwunmi has assured.

The FA chief predicted a massive change in the fortune for the Women’s football League aas well as grassroot football based on the expected increased intervention funds from FIFA.

 

FIFA has committed itself to review it’s current financial support to Member FAs, with a significant rise of what it currently gives: $1.6million to $5million.

 

Akinwumi told Brila.net that the FIFA subvention will bring ‘a massive face lift due to the difficulty in securing private  sponsorship for female football.’
