NPFL: Yobe Desert Stars to resume training next week

Ahead of the new NPFL season, the management of Yobe Desert Stars FC has asked the players and technical crew to return to the Club training camp by Wednesday October 31, in order to start preparation for the new Premier League season which kick-off in November.

Yobe Desert Star Managing Director Mallam Abdulrahman Ago gave the directive after a closed meeting with management in the club office in Damaturu last Friday.

 

Ago said the players needs to resume and work on their fitness level to be in the right shape for the season because the Club want to surpass the achievement of last season.

 

“The players and the technical crew and other support staffs are to resume to camp for us to kick off our preseason training sessions”

“The state government has given us all the necessary tools to kick off our participation in the new season”

“The break has given us time to finish up our various projects in the stadium ahead of the new season; we have a players camp, clubhouse and other sports facilities inside the stadium”, he said.

“We must surpass our last position on the Nigeria professional Football league standings” He concluded.

 

Yobe Deserts Stars joined the elite division in  Nigeria Professional Football League last season and will be looking to continue their impressive performances when the league starts in November.
