ODSFA CLARIFIES REORGANISATION OF SUNSHINE STARS FC

The Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) has disclosed that Sunshine Stars FC will be reorganized before the commencement of the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League season.

 

In a press release made available by the media manager of the Ondo State Football Agency Mr. Chris Okunnuwa on Thursday, The Chairman Mr. Tajudeen Akinyemi urged Nigerians to shun the reports going round that the team has been disbanded. But said the Agency is working alongside the Ondo State Sports Ministry to restructure the Club.

 

Akinyemi stated: “The rumours of Sunshine Stars disbandment are unfounded and unfortunate. We are only working in harmony with the Sports Ministry to reposition the Club for a better performance next season.”

 

The Akure Gunners President added: “With the reorganization definitely there will be some changes in our set up including the players; some will leave and some will be retained and same applied to our technical crew.”

 

Akinyemi concluded that massive sacking of players was never the case at Sunshine Stars and assured stakeholders that all changes will be made in line with extant rules and laws of the round leather game.
