Ex-international Dosu Joseph has identified goalkeeper Francis Uzoho as one of the player who must deliver good performance if the Eagles are to leave Tunisia unhurt.
The Super Eagles humiliated the Libyan at the Nest of Champions in Uyo on Saturday, as striker Odion Ighalo’s his first hat-trick for Nigeria and Samuel Kalu wonderful curler handed the Gernot Rohr side 4-0 victory.
While, Ighalo was enjoying rave reviews from Nigerian football faithful, Dosu believes Uzoho saves was vital to the team in Uyo and Nigerians will be banking on the 19-year old Elche goalkeeper to come to the rescue of the team again in Sfax.
“He was spectacular in the encounter with good saves. He has proved everybody wrong so far,” he said.
“They say Nigeria don’t have a goalkeeper before but we that are goalkeepers know he’s got something to show in the national team.
“Even in the Uyo game, there was a header he saved which tells you more about his quality, but hope he does it again tonight.” Dosu told Goal.
The Super Eagles are second on the Grop E table with six points, behind South Africa who are on seven points. Libya and Seychelles occupy the third and fourth position respectively.
Each team have played three games with the South Africans the only team without defeat so far in the Group.
