Italy confirmed their place in the quarter-final of the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup with a 5-4 win over Iran and go top of Group B.
Italy had routed Nigeria 12-6 in their opening game of the competition and now the Sand Eagles will seek redemption when they face Mexico later on Saturday.
Both sides paid dearly for their mistakes in their first outings in the competition, leaving them with no margin for error and no option but to convert the obvious talent they possess into much-needed points.
