NPFL Champions, Enugu Rangers picked maximum points; the second game on a bounce , after Wednesday’s 3-2 home win against Wikki Tourists in the rescheduled matchday 13 tie.
First half goals from Bobby Clement and Ifeanyi George’s converted spot kick gave Rangers a 2-0 first half lead.
The visitors pulled one back six minutes into the second half through Chukwudi Samuel from the penalty spot, but allowed Ousmane Pape restore the 2-goal led, connecting from a corner kick.
Wikki’s come back looked likely on the 79th minute after Shammah Tanze ran into Alegbe’s through pass to score, but, it would count for little as the home side tidied up at the back to halt a dramatic late goal.
The result lifted the Flying Antelopes from the bottom of the table but they still languish in the relegation zone, though with two more games in hand.

Having sacked last season’s championship winning Coach; Imama Amapakabo, following a disastrous start to the first half of the current season, interim Coach, Chukwuma Agbo was handed the mandate of a rescue mission from the free fall.
Prior the back to back victories over Pillars and Wikki, Rangers only managed two points from a possible 18; including a 1-1 result at home against Remo Stars.
