Host nation Russia got their World Cup campaign off to a fantastic start through a 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on Thursday.
Gazinskiy scored the first goal of the tournament after only 12 minutes, and in doing so, netted his first international goal.
The lead as doubled not long before the half-time interval, as Cheryshev finished off a quick Russia break with a neat touch to get away from the Saudi defense, before hammering into the roof of the net.
Russia ended the game as a contest on 70 minutes when substitute Dzyuba scored with one of his first touches of the game, heading past the helpless Saudi keeper.
Cheryshev scored his second of the game as the game entered the 90th minute, curling one into the top corner with the outside of his boot, before Golovin scored a wonderful free kick, to end the romp at 5-0 to the hosts.
