Mikel Obi just literally confirmed he’s the first name on the Super Eagles final 23-man word cup list on Thursday when he arrived the team’s camp in Uyo.
Mikel, who is the captain of the Super Eagles, touched down in Uyo where the team is holding the first phase of its world cup campaign.
The Changchun Yatai midfielder was quoted on the team’s official handle declaring his readiness for the tournament and importantly for the “privilege to represent Nigeria” in Russia.
The tweet read:
Captain @mikel_john_obi: I am happy to be here. It is a huge privilege to play with this team and represent Nigeria at the #2018FIFAWorldCup.
