Teranga Lions’ Coach Aliou Cisse has released the names of players that will represent Senegal in their first World Cup appearance since Korea/Japan 2002.
Everton’s Oumar Niasse who scored eight goals in 22 league appearances this season is the notable omission alongside Crystal Palace’s left-back Pape Souare.
Liverpool’s Sadio Mane is the standout name in a star-studded squad that will be hoping to match their previous World Cup showing, a quarter-final finish in Korea/Japan.
Mane will be supported by the likes of Ismaila Sarr, M’Baye Niang, Moussa Sow and Diafra Sakho in a talented attacking unit.
Hence, a massive Premier League presence throughout the team with the likes of Idrissa Gueye (Everton) and West Ham United’s Cheikhou Kouyate will also be on the plane to Russia.
