CHAN Eagles star, Stephen Eze is hopeful of making the Nigeria team to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but also says he will accept any outcome with “good faith”.
Eze starred for Nigeria at the 2018 African Nations Championship in Morocco, where the Eagles emerged finalists.
After the competition he moved from Kano Pillars in the NPFL to Bulgaria where he joined First League side, Lokomotiv Plodiv.
The Center back admits “adapting” life at his new club has been a challenge, but it is one he also embraces.
He got his debut first team call up in March; although he did not play, and he’s focused and convinced “with hard work and a positive mindset” he will join the Super Eagles party to Russia.
In an interview with Brila.net Eze said, ‘I believe I can make the team for the world cup. I also know it will take hard work, but I don’t allow this matter bother me much; I don’t think it.
‘ I’m keeping my focus on doing well at my club and putting in the work. But if I don’t get my chance now, I’ll take any outcome in good faith.’
