Manchester United’s hopes of winning silverware this season was brought alive and well after they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at Wembley to reach the FA Cup final.
The Mourinho led United team were forced to come from behind to book a place in their 20th FA Cup final as an early goal from Dele Alli put the Londoners in front.
Goals from Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera’s second-half winner to settle the contest.
The result means that Tottenham’s FA Cup semi-final palava continues, having lost their last eight matches at this stage of the competition, and their hopes of winning any trophy in 2017-18 are over.
Manchester United will now face either Chelsea or Southampton in next month’s final.
