Gold Number Six! Blessing Oborududu wins another Commonwealth Gold Medal for Nigeria

Team Nigeria has added another Gold Medal through Blessing Oborududu who came first in the women’s Freestyle wrestling of the 63Kg category.

The 29-year-old Nigerian freestyle wrestler competed in the freestyle 63 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics

She also won a bronze medal in the women’s middleweight at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. She beat Chloe Spiteri in her bronze medal match.

Oborududu also competed in the women’s middleweight at the 2016 Olympics, losing to Soronzonboldyn Battsetseg in the second round.

The Gold Medal won earlier this morning is Nigeria’s Sixth Gold Medal in the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Australia.
