Super Eagles players bench role: Mgbolu expresses concern

Former scribe of the then Nigeria Football Association (now NFF) Austin Mgbolu has expressed strong concern about the continuous snub of Super Eagles players from first team duties  in their respective clubs.
Mgbolu in a chat with brila.net said the development should be a cause of concern to the national team handlers because of the crucial games coming up in a few months from now.
“It’s really a source of concern to some of us knowing fully well that when your regulars are not been fielded in their club sides, it shows clearly that either they are not in shape or they are probably nursing injuries – non is good for the national team. We want players that are 100 percent fit, that are fielded on regular basis, tasting actions week in week out.”
Nigerian duo of Kelechi Iheanachor and Alex Iwobi are key players who haven’t been enjoying run of matches at club level in recent times for Manchester City and Arsenal respectively.
