[dropcap]L[/dropcap]eicester City Manager, Claude Puel has admitted he faces a difficult task to replace suspended midfielder Wilfred Ndidi for the next two League games.

Ndidi was dismissed for the second time this season and will now miss next week’s visit of Newcastle to the King Power Stadium, and the big clash with Europa League qualification rivals Burnley.

The Leicester boss also hopes referee Chris Kavanagh doesn’t include in his report Ndidi’s delayed departure from the pitch after he showed him a second yellow card, as the Nigerian threw himself to the ground in frustration.

With Matty James and Daniel Amartey recently injured, and Andy King on loan at Swansea City, City only have Adrien Silva as a senior midfielder to step in, and Puel admits he doesn’t have a player similar to Ndidi.

“Of course he is a valuable player for us,” said Puel, who felt the second yellow was a harsh decision.

“He is like other important players for us. He recovers a lot of possession and he has improved in possession also.

“He prevents the opponents from hitting us on the counter-attack and he has been a fantastic player for us since the beginning of the season.

“To lose Wilfred at this point of the season is harsh for us because we have not got a lot of players with the same attributes. We will find a solution collectively.” Puel Concluded.
