[dropcap]W[/dropcap]est Bromwich Albion have parted ways with Manager Alan Pardew after four months in charge at The Hawthorns.

Pardew took charge of just 21 games after he replaced Tony Pulis in November and has only guided the club to three wins, one of which came in the Premier League.

Defeat to Burnley at the weekend was the final straw and Guochuan Lai has acted with the Baggies rooted to the bottom of the table and 10 points adrift of safety.

The club’s statement reads: “West Bromwich Albion and Alan Pardew have agreed to mutually part company today following discussions between both parties.

“Assistant Head Coach John Carver will also be leaving.

“The Club would like to thank Alan and John for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours.

“First-team coach Darren Moore has been placed in charge of first-team affairs until further notice.

“The Club will not be making any further comment at this time.”
