Nigeria’s victory against Poland was the second time the Super Eagles had humbled a top ranked team since qualifying for the world cup in Russia, but technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has sued for cautious expectations of his team.
The Super Eagles followed up the 4-2 win against Argentina in a friendly last November with a 1-0 victory against Poland in their backyard.
Rohr insists the team is young and still has the potential to improve but will not consider Nigeria as having a bright chance at the FIFA World Cup this summer.
“This team is a young team but also a team of leaders. If we stay humble and continue to work hard to improve our play we have huge potentials, but beating 2 FIFA top 10 teams in friendlies doesn’t mean we are now World Cup favourites,” Rohr said.
