Bursaspor Midfielder, Mikel Agu has been handed a late Super Eagles call-up as a replacement for Captain John Mikel Obi.

Mikel is expected to sit out of both friendly matches due to the difficulty he’s experiencing with his Work permit in China.

According to ScoreNigeria, Mikel Agu has got a late call-up,” Eagles spokesman Toyin Ibitoye confirmed.

Mikel Obi was hoping to finalise his work permit in China and join the team in London ahead of the Serbia friendly, Unfortunately, he won’t be available for the friendlies.

The 24-year-old Midfielder, Mikel Agu has shone for Turkish club Bursaspor on loan from FC Porto, but he has struggled to reproduce such form for the Super Eagles.

However, Agu is expected to team up with the squad in London ahead of the Serbia clash on Tuesday.
