Super Eagles technical adviser, Gernot Rohr has outlined his objectives for the friendlies against Poland and Serbia as the Nigeria kick start preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Rohr is fretting over the absence of his captain, Mikel Obi, when Nigeria play against Poland but expects the team to produce players who can provide leadership on the pitch and dictate the flow of a game.
The Coach also expects to introduce a few new faces to the team but concedes he has only two games (Poland and Serbia) – before 14 May – to see the players up close.
‘It’s a test match for us, we have some new players we want to see so it’s an opportunity to see these players because given our list will be out in 14 of May; there be no other games after the Poland and Serbia.
‘It’s very important for us to see some players and play without our captain, we want to see how the players react,’ Rohr explained.
