Former D’Tigers captain and Owner of Hoops and Read Basketball Club, Olumide Oyedeji has slammed the NBBF and organizers of the Premier Basketball League suggesting the elite division is unsuitable and ‘not operated as a professional league.’
Oyedeji played for Ebun Comets before his sojourn to the NBA where he also represented Orlando Magic, before returning as a stakeholder in the NBBF.
Hoops and Reads are debutantes in the premier League this season, but the Proprietor insists there is need for wholesome improvements in the League structure, because, “stability is very hard to attain.”
Oyedeji insists that the exodus of players from the league, seeking better opportunities in countries like the USA; where they can play and also get education, is as a result of the poor management of the Sport in Nigeria.
