In his 15th time of asking Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first Premier League goal since joining Leicester City from Man City last summer.
The 21-year-old Nigeria International struck a powerful header past West Brom goalkeeper, Ben Foster to give the Foxes a 3-1 lead; after he had provided an assist for their second goal.
It couldn’t have come at a better time for Kelechi who has also been invited to the Super Eagles for the international friendlies against Poland and Serbia later this month.
Although he’s not been short of providing those sterling performances in the colors of his Country, the player; once rated more lethal than Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane, struggled for game time as he stepped down to the King Power Stadium outfit.
Saturday’s performance was one of his best in English football, even as a substitute.
After the 8-month long search for an EPL goal, the youngster went on social media to share his excitement.
He tweeted: What a great team performance 🔥⚽ Very happy to have scored my first Premier League goal for @lcfc 🦊 To celebrate I’m doing a little giveaway to say thank you for all your fantastic support. All you need to do is like this post and comment with the hashtag #Kel8 until Monday
